The Cure, Seventeen Seconds… I was listening to the radio the other day, and they played a few Cure songs, and then they announced that on April 22, 1980 that Seventeen Seconds was released. I remembered that I had a copy and went through my record collection to play it.
There are many good reviews out there about this album (like this one) so I’m not going to get into too many details. One thing that I have to say is that from my past music listening blog listings, someone might think that I’m not really into rock. To be honest, the average rock song does not particularly do much for me (and I guess others are on the same page). However there are a few rock albums/songs that do something for me for whatever reason… I guess they can be considered as music made by weirdos/outcasts/misfits for other weirdos/outcasts/misfits.
Anyways, I have to say that The Forest is one of my favourite tracks from this record…
